The Academy of Health Science of Allentown School District prepares students for the rigor and increasing demands placed on health care professionals.  Academy students learn critical scientific knowledge related to health, anatomy, and nutrition.  They also gain valuable work experience in industry-based settings with the Lehigh Valley region.

Program

The Academy of Health Science combines specifically designed courses that expose students to health fields with a college preparation curriculum to expand the students' academic opportunities.  Partnerships are formed with community organizations to provide experience in health care occupations.  Experiences include after-school field trips and summer internships, with performance-based assessments.

 Due to advanced training, most graduates head directly into the workforce if they so choose.  Others gain placement in two and four-year colleges.

 All Academy students interact with leading career professionals in the area and intern in modern facilities with state-of-the-art equipment.
