The
Office of Accountability and Assessment manages data
analysis for the District. Data is used to make
instructional decisions, evaluate District programs, and
plan for future years. The data analyzed includes PSSA
scores, 4Sight Benchmark Assessments scores, enrollment
data, attendance data, and demographic data. The Office of
Accountability and Assessment coordinates the administration
of standardized tests, particularly the PSSA and 4Sight. In
addition, the Office of Accountability and Assessment
coordinates all research projects ongoing in the District
and also manages the Allentown School District's newly
implemented data warehouse. Both sites are restricted and
password protected to ASD staff members only.
With the
passage of the No Child
Left Behind legislation, data analysis has played
an even larger role in District planning. The Office
of Accountability and Assessment analyzes Adequate Yearly
Progress (AYP) data and assists in accountability planning.
School and District Report Cards are generated for release
to the community on an annual basis.
