  School Meal Accounts

Free or reduced meal eligibility from the 2007-2008 school year will expire 9/30/08, so it is important to submit your 2008-2009 meal application as soon as possible to avoid any lapse in service.  If you do not submit a new meal application for the 2008-2009 school year, your child will be required to pay full price beginning 10/01/08.

Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping student accounts up-to-date. Students are encouraged to pre-pay into their account weekly. Pre-payments may be cash or check and should be sent to school in an envelope marked with the student’s name, date, and amount enclosed. Checks should be made payable to: Allentown Child Nutrition Services. Pre-payment envelopes are available in all school cafeterias.

Monthly notifications will be sent home to those students who have a low balance or a negative balance. It is important to keep your child’s meal account up-to-date to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. However, elementary students who forget their lunch money or their lunch from home are permitted to charge up to three (3) full lunches. After the third lunch, students will be provided an alternative meal at the cost of $ .40 for reduced paying students and $1.50 for full paying students until their accounts are settled.  High school students are not permitted to charge meals.

Please contact the school cafeteria with questions or concerns regarding payment.  Thank you.
