Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping student
accounts up-to-date. Students are encouraged to pre-pay into
their account weekly. Pre-payments may be cash or check and
should be sent to school in an envelope marked with the
student’s name, date, and amount enclosed. Checks should be made
payable to: Allentown Child Nutrition Services.
Pre-payment envelopes are available in all school cafeterias.
Monthly notifications will
be sent home to those students who have a low balance or a
negative balance. It is
important to keep your child’s meal account up-to-date to ensure
a smooth and efficient operation. However, elementary
students who forget their lunch money or their lunch from home
are permitted to charge up to three (3) full lunches. After the
third lunch, students will be provided an alternative meal at
the cost of $ .40 for reduced paying students and $1.50 for full
paying students until their accounts are settled. High
school students are not permitted to charge meals.
