Current Focus in Reading Class - 
We are currently focusing on comprehension reading strategies using the science fiction text The Last Book in the Universe.
AP Classess will be focusing on the Pre-AP program of SpringBoard 
 
 
All about Mrs. Betar:
 
Experience: Mrs. Betar has been teaching at South Mountain Middle School for 5 years as a 8th Grade Reading Specialist for the Summit Team. 
 
Education: Mrs. Betar graduated from Kutztown University with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary     Education with a Reading Certification.  She also minored in Shakespearean Literature.  While at Kutztown University she  spent a semester teaching in Plymouth England.    Mrs. Betar also has her Master's Degree from East Stroudsburg University.
