Fairly consistent, very good use of materials, some original work, strong technique, reflects development of ideas, strong images, communicates well with viewer, strong insight, very good effort.

Satisfactory

Inconsistent journal entries, limited use of materials, technique is developing, not many original ides (mostly assignments), images tend to be weak and do not communicate well with viewer, subject matter limited, some reflection evident, acceptable effort.

Unsatisfactory

Very few journal entries, all are assignments, very little original work / mostly copied, materials limited to pen/ pencil, artwork lacks original thought, work shows no reflection, weak or poor effort.

Journal not available for evaluation, minimal work entered, work cannot be considered art, shows no reflection of learning, little or no effort.
