The William Allen Key Club has over 20 active members. Our membership elects student officers each year. William Allen Key Club is a member of Key Club International, Pennsylvania Division 18 South. The Allentown Kiwanis Club sponsors our organization.

Key Club is a volunteer service organization. With our Kiwanis sponsors, we deliver Meals on Wheels at Thanksgiving. We also contribute to local food banks and shelters, assist at school community outreach efforts, and help other nonprofit organizations.

Past recipients of William Allen Key Club donations include:

  • Lehigh Valley Hospital - $500
  • Meals on Wheels LV - $400
  • St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - $100

This year, we have assisted Union Terrace Elementary PTA by providing monthly babysitting service for UT PTA meeting dates. We joined forces with other Allen club members along with Kiwanis to deliver Meals on Wheels on Thanksgiving. We hosted, in conjunction with Southern Lehigh Key Club, the second annual Battle of the Bands, raising $1500 for Tsunami Disaster Relief efforts.
In May, three local bands played our Holler for Hunger benefit concert, raising $500 for Meals on Wheels. In conjuction with Kiwanis volunteers, we swept and cleaned the bus terminal parking lot and picked up trash along American Parkway from Hamilton St. to the Holy Spirit School on Fullerton Avenue.

Come play bingo with us at WAHS SGA's Fund Fest 2005, held in J. Milo Sewards Gymnasium 5-9p.m. on May 27.
