The Student Government Association (SGA) is a club for students who want to get involved! We welcome any member of the student body to attend our monthly meetings. Our purpose is to improve student life at Allen and to serve our community. Deriving our powers directly from the Principal of Allen High School, we charter all other student organizations, produce a helpful student guide (Blue Book), and organize various activities throughout the school year. The SGA had many successes in 1999-2000. We set up the cheering section at football and basketball games. We held the PASC State Conference, the largest student council event in the state. Our service project of a book drive to benefit Head Start children raised 91,519 books! We participated in the D.A.R.E. program at Dodd Elementary school, and visited our neighbors at McKinley Elementary at Christmas.
