Allen Students Earn Art Awards

Allen students shined at the 2017 East Central Pennsylvania Art Region Scholastic Art Award competition receiving 3 Gold Key Awards, 14 Silver Key Awards, and 22 Honorable Mentions.
Gold Key Award recipients were Kiara Harris (who earned two awards) and Hannah Langkamer-Smith. Kiara won for her digital art, “Arthur Whisby,” and her printmaking, “The Undertaker.” While Hannah won for her drawing and illustration, “Black and White Tiger.”
Silver Award recipients included: Adella Alam (2 awards), Megan Getz, Kiara Harris (3 awards), Sophia Kalogeropoulos, Belicia Kingsley, Hannah Langkamer-Smith, Kimberly Mendez (4 awards), and Nicole Rafiee.
A Scholastic Art Award Exhibit, featuring Gold and Silver Key winners, will be held at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, PA. The exhibition will run from Saturday, April 5 thru Sunday, June 4.
Honorable Mentions were earned by: Adella Alam, Megan Getz, Kiara Harris, Thania Iona De Jesus (2 awards), Belicia Kingsley (5 awards), Hannah Langkamer-Smith, Laura Lenh, Emma Marhekfa, Kimberly Mendez, Dolymarie Mercado (2 awards), Keelin Orellana, Jezel Rodriguez (3 awards), and Mileisha Troche (2 awards). 
The Banana Factory is located at 25 West 3rd Street, Bethlehem. Their regular hours are: Mondays – Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
