NOTE: The majority of our support staff positions are union positions. For all current vacancies, priority selection may be assigned to current employees, based on the terms of existing collective bargaining agreements.  If no positions appear under the specific job categories, then no current vacancies exist.  The Allentown School District reserves unto itself the right to add or delete any posted positions.

For both internal and external candidates, FastTrack is the preferred and recommended method to submit employment applications.  Please log on to FastTrack to view the full details of these and additional positions, including Teacher positions, and their associated job descriptions and required documents.  Use FastTrack to create a profile and apply for each position of interest.  For current District employees only, you may submit the respective unit's Declaration of Interest form when applying for each position of interest.  Completed forms may be faxed to Human Resources at (484) 765-4140, or sent electronically to humanresources@allentownsd.org.

Paper applications should be returned to:

Allentown School District, Attn: Human Resources, 31 S. Penn Street - P.O. Box 328, Allentown, PA 18105; or faxed to the Human Resources department at (484) 765-4140.

SUBSTITUTES
Perhaps you have been following news about the shortage of teachers across the country and wondered how you can make a difference. Substitute teachers play an important role in providing continuous educational support to students. Across our district, there are many opportunities to serve.Since 2015, ASD has partnered with Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. (STS) as its primary source of qualified staff to fill teacher vacancies across the district.  To learn how you can make a difference, or to register as a substitute teacher, visit www.thesubservice.com or call (800) 357-SUBS (7827) today. Visit the STS website to view specific substitute teaching opportunities.

The shortage of teachers has created an opportunity for retired educators to return to service without jeopardizing their retirement benefits.  As of this year, retired educators can return to service as ASD employees.  If you are a retired educator and want to learn more about returning to service as a substitute teacher and as an ASD employee, contact Human Resources at (484) 765-4128, or send a message to humanresources@allentownsd.org.
