The Allentown School District is requesting that you submit your meal application on or before September 27, 2013. By submitting your meal application EARLY, you help your student by giving them an opportunity to eat a nutritious meal at school AND you help our schools by increasing their eligibility for special funding from grants and other foundations. Please support your school and return your completed school meal application or before Friday, September 27, 2013. Meal applications should be returned to your student’s school.
Allentown School District, Child Nutrition Services accepts family meal applications each school year to give students access to our meal programs. Only one (1) application is necessary for each family applying for benefits. The family meal application must be submitted each school year to ensure student’s eligibility for free or reduced priced meals. The meal application is completely confidential. Free or reduced eligibility is based on income eligibility guidelines that are determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. There are two ways to complete the meal application.
1. By using the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Application for Social Services (COMPASS) website. COMPASS serves as a single access point for a variety of social service programs including adult health care coverage, food stamp benefits and cash assistance. COMPASS expedites the application process by allowing applicants to fill out and submit their application online.
2. By completing a family meal application at your student's school.
NOTE: For your convenience 2013-2014 Meal Applications will be available in late August for you to download and complete.
