School Meal Accounts lunch

Child Nutrition Services is proud to continue the pilot program; the Child Nutrition Economic Recovery Plan (CNERP). Under this plan, all students regardless of eligibility will receive one (1) school lunch at no cost. However, there are new regulations for the program including:
 
1. School meal applications will be sent home the first week of school.
 
2. Each family should complete and submit one school meal application by September 28, 2012.
 
3. Every completed school meal application will be accepted and the students will receive free school meals.
 
4. Any family who does not submit a completed school meal application will be required to pay for their student meals beginning October 18, 2012.
 
Breakfast:  Free to all students 
Lunch:  1.60 Elementary 
Lunch:  1.80 Middle and High Schools
 
Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping student accounts up-to-date. Student accounts can be used for a second lunch, beverages or any a la carte food purchases other than the one (1) free school breakfast or lunch per student. Second school breakfasts, lunches or additional components of the school lunch must be paid at the time of service.
 
Checks should be made payable to: Allentown Child Nutrition Services. Pre-payment envelopes are available in all school cafeterias. Please contact the school cafeteria with questions or concerns regarding payment. Thank you.
