To promote effective physical access to information resources and intellectual access to content. The library media center’s program provides a range of learning opportunities for both large and small groups and for individuals.

History

The original library was on the second floor of the Main Building. In 1975 a new Library/ Science building was built on the site of the old gymnasium. The library now occupies the complete first floor of that building. Recent additions include a computer lab in 1997, a distance-learning lab, and a district training facility on the second floor.

Collection

  • Over 29,500 books including 3,000 reference books, 4,000 fiction books, and a new children’s section
  • Periodicals in print, microfiche, CD-ROM and online formats
  • Five different local and national newspapers delivered daily
  • CD-ROM encyclopedias: World Book 2000, Encarta ‘97
