On Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cedar Beach Park, the Allentown School District, the City of Allentown, and the Allentown Chamber of Commerce are partnering to host the fourth annual #OneAllentown 2026 Back to School Bash Presented by McClure Company! A free event open to all city students, families, and staff that celebrates the start of the 2026-2027 school year while also building and strengthening community partnerships.

“This event offers an excellent opportunity to kick off the school year as #OneAllentown,” said Dr. Carol D. Birks, Superintendent. “Families and the community are major levers in impacting student achievement, and this event gives an opportunity to leverage the collective strengths of our entire community to impact the long-term future success of our students. We are excited to provide this opportunity to our students to ensure they have the resources to start the school year successfully, but also excite them to return to school and engage families on a deeper level.”

There will be games, food, and activities for families and children of all ages. Local organizations will also be on-site to provide educational resources and information.
