Based on our Opening of Schools Family Survey many families indicated a concern about their students returning to school in fall.  In order to address these concerns, ASD will offer a high-quality cyber option for our students K-12. At this time we are allowing families to opt into this high-quality cyber option for the first quarter of school (September 8, 2020 - November 11, 2020). You will have an opportunity within the survey to indicate if you prefer to remain in this program beyond November.

Please use this form to register for ASD's K-12 high-quality cyber option for your child for the first quarter.  This information will help District leaders to finalize plans to reopen our buildings this fall.

During the June 29 ASD Board Meeting, Allentown's Athletic Health and Safety Plan was approved, providing guidelines for our student-athletes to return to play during the summer months. Click here to review the Health & Safety Plan. Contact your school if you are interested in playing sports.

Amid a nation in chaos, we must choose whether we remain silent or whether we speak power to the words of healing. The killing of unarmed African American men in this nation is not a new phenomenon, nor does it happen in a vacuum. We cannot allow our children to accept this as normal because of its frequency. What is Restorative Practices?
Restorative practices is an emerging social science that studies how to strengthen relationships between individuals as well as social connections within communities. The Allentown School District has partnered with the International Institute for Restorative Practices to fully train our staff as we work to implement #RPinASD District wide.
