Bids and RFPs

As stated in ASD School Board Policy #610: Purchases Subject to Bid, the Board: will obtain competitive bids for products and services where such bids are required by law or where such bids may be believed to bring about a cost saving to the school district. For procurement of supplies or services pursuant to a federal award, the district's purchase of supplies or services, the aggregate dollar amount of which does not exceed $3000 (or $2000 in the case of acquisitions for construction subject to the Davis-Bacon Act), may be awarded without soliciting competitive quotations if the district considers the price to be reasonable.

Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check and/or bond, with corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania.

All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, plainly marked on the outside “BID FOR (as the case may be)” – and mailed or delivered to the undersigned, Allentown School District Maintenance Office, 1301 Sumner Avenue, Allentown, Pennsylvania, before the hour and date specified above. The Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, with or without cause.
