Troubleshooting Password Issues on ParentSquare
If you're receiving a message stating, "This password has been part of a data breach, please use another password," here's what you need to know:
A breached password means it’s possible someone may have access to your password without your permission. ParentSquare's Password Monitor provides extra security by preventing potential attackers from using leaked information to access your account.
Why is this Happening?
ParentSquare requires a unique password that hasn't been used on any other website. They cross-reference login credentials with a database of known breaches to recommend creating a new password, ensuring your account and school information remain secure.
Password Requirements
- When creating a new password, please ensure it meets the following criteria:
- At least 8 characters (the more characters, the better)
- A combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
- Avoid common passwords or patterns like “1Password!” and “reallylongpassword1”
- Do not reuse passwords from other websites
