Allentown, PA - The Allentown School District (ASD) is proud to announce the return of its premier student showcase, the 2026 Multi-Disciplinary Project Exposition (MDPE). The event took place Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the PPL Center, featuring more than 150 innovative student-led projects from across the district’s K-12 schools.
Designated as a "MEGA" event by the ReMake Learning National Series, the MDPE serves as a district-wide celebration of creativity, curiosity, and academic excellence. Attendees experienced firsthand the meaningful learning occurring in ASD classrooms through interactive demonstrations, performances, and juried exhibitions centered on four key themes: Arts, Technology, Youth Voice, and Science.
"The MDPE exemplifies our commitment to providing students with rigorous, future-focused learning opportunities that elevate student voice and talent," said Dr. Carol D. Birks, Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer for the Allentown School District. "Through our partnership with the Juilliard School, we are also excited to expand community engagement by offering unique workshops that reflect our district’s strategic priorities.”
In addition to student exhibits, the evening featured a College and Career Readiness Backpack Challenge, a Community Resource and Vendor Fair, and live entertainment from various student groups. The awards ceremony recognized high academic achievement and outstanding members of the Class of 2026 who have achieved the Seal of Biliteracy and graduated from the District’s Early College Program, in partnership with Lehigh Carbon Community College.
