Allentown School District Appoints Jack Trent as Chief Financial Officer

ALLENTOWN, PA - Allentown School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jack Trent as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing a proven record of stabilizing and transforming school system finances to the district. Mr. Trent joins the district from Easton Area School District, where he rapidly distinguished himself as a turnaround leader.

In his previous roles, he has successfully negotiated union contracts, led retirement incentive programs, and overseen HR, payroll, and compliance functions. These experiences position him to support districtwide operations with discipline and strategic clarity. 

A retired U.S. Navy veteran with submarine service and combat deployment experience, Mr. Trent brings a mission-focused, disciplined leadership style shaped over 18 years of military service. Mr. Trent holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Education in Educational Leadership. He also holds New Jersey administrative certifications in School Business Administration.

The terms of Mr. Trent’s employment contract will begin on August 31, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
