Allentown School District Enhances Leadership Team
ALLENTOWN, PA — On Thursday, September 12, 2024, at a Special Meeting, the Allentown School District Board of School Directors voted to approve the hiring of talented new professionals to support families, students, and staff.
The Allentown School District is pleased to welcome the addition of Ms. Jenna Monley as the Chief Outreach Officer, Dr. Andrea Grannum-Mosley, Director of College & Career Readiness, Ms. Amy Simmons, Director of Grant Accounting, and Dr. Ramona Hollie-Major, Director of Talent Management & Recruitment.

Jenna Monley, most recently the Deputy Chief of Family And Community Engagement (FACE) at the School District of Philadelphia. She has more than 20 years of experience supporting students and families at the School District of Philadelphia as the Interim Deputy Chief Of Student Health Services, the Director of Pregnant & Parenting Teen Services, the Program Manager of Operations & Grants Development, a Grants Development, and a Special Project Assistant.
She has a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University, a Bachelors in Communication from West Chester University, and a Professional Grant Writing Workshop Certification from the Grant Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Andrea Grannum-Mosley will serve the students and families of the Allentown School District as the Director of College & Career Readiness. Dr. Grannum-Mosley comes to the District from Lehigh Carbon Community College where she was the Dean of Workforce, Community Engagement & Technical Education. She served the community college for almost seven years where she was also the Director of Training & Development.
Dr. Grannum-Mosley earned a Doctoral Degree in Adult Education from Capella University, a Masters in Adult Education from Penn State University, and Post Master's Certificates in Management, and Leadership & Accountability from Capella University.
Dr. Grannum-Mosley also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Learning Forward Pennsylvania, and the African American Business Leaders Council Board of the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Amy Simmons is the next Director of Grant Accounting in the Allentown School District. Ms. Simmons has worked since 2012 in public school administration, and in that time served as the Business Manager at Kiski Area School District, the Assistant Business Manager at Hempfield School District, Business Manager at the Fairfield Area School District, Business Manager at the Midd-West School District, Accounting Manager at the Dover Area School District, and Bookkeeper at the East Pennsboro Area School District.
Ms. Simmons is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Business Administration at Walden University and has a Masters in School Business Leadership from Wilkes University, a Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership in Organizational Leadership and Development from Central Penn College, a Bachelors in Business Administration from Central Penn College and an Associates Degree in Business Administration & Accounting from Hagerstown Business College.
Dr. Ramona Hollie-Major becomes the Allentown School District's Director of Talent Management and Recruitment. Dr. Hollie-Major was previously the Chief Operating Officer at COI Energy – Brooklyn, NY & Tampa, FL, the Director of Operations at the Allentown School District, the Executive Director of Operations: Special Education at the School District of Philadelphia, the Director of Operations and Facilitator Development at the National Center For Education and the Economy National Institute For School Leadership, and was the Executive Director of the Crayola Factory in Easton.
Dr. Hollie-Major earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Social Change from Fielding University in Santa Barbara, CA, a Masters of Education in Urban Education Leadership from Lehigh University, an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from DeSales University,
and a CORe: Credential of Readiness Certificate from Harvard Business School Online.
Other internal administrative moves of note include the appointment of long-time William Allen High School Safety Officer & former head football coach George Clay as Assistant Director of Safety & Security.
