We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter for Building 21 High School! Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, Building 21 will embark on a transformative journey to become the Allentown School District's next theme-based high school, a future-focused learning environment designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Medical & Health Sciences, and Computer Science.
This transition will occur in phases, with the initial phase in the 2025-2026 academic year introducing a robust selection of courses in computer science. This will provide our students with invaluable skills and knowledge in a rapidly evolving and increasingly important field.
As part of this exciting evolution, Building 21 High School will also be receiving a new name that reflects its innovative focus on these high-demand industries. We believe that a name that resonates with this theme will further inspire our students and community.
We are now inviting all stakeholders – students, parents, guardians, staff, alumni, and community members – to participate in this important process by submitting suggestions for the new name of the school.
