
These students will join fellow ASD board members at Regular Board meetings, education/finance/Policy Committee-of-the-Whole meetings, the Allentown School District Foundation, and the City’s Human Relations Commission committee meetings.
Student representatives are asked to provide updates on positive things in their schools or upcoming events that are important to their school culture and climate. We are so excited to hear their valuable insights throughout the school year!
William Allen High School
Brianna Potter Camarenda, a senior at William Allen High School, will serve as the alternative representative for the Regular School Board of Directors, as well as the ASD Foundation Board Alternate. She currently serves as President of the National Honor Society, Canaries for Life, and the Science National Honor Society, and is also the Founder of the Health Care Club. Outside of school, Brianna volunteers with Lehigh Valley Health Network and at various food banks throughout the city. In her free time, she is an avid reader and enjoys spending time at church. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college followed by medical school, to become a General Physician specializing in Family or Emergency Medicine.
David Thor Jr., a senior at William Allen High School, will serve as the Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole Representative. He is a dedicated member of the Football and Track teams and is actively involved in the National Honor Society, Student Government, and Mathematics Honor Society (MU Alpha Theta). In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano and violin, as well as practicing football. After graduation, he hopes to study Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Anie Esther Dade, a senior at William Allen High School, will serve as an alternate for the Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole. A member of the track, field, and cross country teams. She also participates in Key Club. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing games, and planting. She would like to study medicine at a four-year university to become a neonatal nurse practitioner.
Dieruff High School
George Ramirez Villalpan, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole Representative. He is a member of the Air Force Junior ROTC, National Honor Society, and volunteers as an altar server at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In his free time, he enjoys nature walks, hiking, playing instruments, singing classical music, and practicing rifle spinning drills. After graduation, he plans to study Political Science at a four-year college while serving in the Army National Guard or Air Force Reserve. He hopes to become a lawyer or prosecutor.
Christopher Dwornicki, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as the Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole Representative. He is Vice President of Class of 2026, captain of the swim team, Vice President of the debate team, a Student Government class representative, and a member of the Scholastic Scrimmage team. Outside of school, he serves as the historian for the National Honor Society and manages the chapter’s Instagram. He is also involved with Latin-X Tech, a nonprofit organization promoting STEM-based education for middle schoolers. Christopher enjoys crocheting, baking and plans to study mechanical engineering to pursue a career in Aerospace Engineering.
Angelina Abouloh, a sophomore at Dieruff High School, will serve as the ASD Foundation Board Representative. She is a part of the debate team, theatre, and 21st century. Currently, she volunteers at her church. In her free time, she likes to play basketball, play the drums, guitar, and sew. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college and aspires to become a bio psychologist or bio engineer.
Nylyn Gomez, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as an alternative to the Regular School Board of Directors. She enjoys participating in soccer, softball, and basketball. Outside of school, she is a member of a non-profit organization, Police Athletic League (PAL). After graduation, she plans to attend college and aspires to become a labor and delivery nurse.
Alex Fondeur, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as the alternate ASD Foundation Board Representative. He enjoys participating in various clubs and organizations such as the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and Multicultural Leadership. Over the summer, he volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, and during the spring plans to volunteer as a teacher for the Girls On The Run program at Ritter Elementary School. In his free time, he enjoys reading mystery and romance books, baking, and playing soccer. After graduation, he plans to attend college with aspirations of becoming a dentist.
Aniya Holder, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as the Regular School Board of Representatives. She is a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the basketball and track teams. Holder enjoys running, puzzles, and coloring in her free time. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college, where she hopes to run collegiate track and field, before pursuing a career in the medical field.
Valentina Yura, a senior at Dieruff High School, will serve as Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole Representative. She is a part of the soccer team, debate team, student council, robotics and coding club, and Class of 2026. Outside of school, she volunteers as Harrison-Morton’s Co-Ed soccer team Assistant Coach and is an active volunteer for her church, along with recruiting for East Stroudsburg Upward Bound, a pre-college, academic support program that prepares high school students in grades 9 through 12 to become successful college students. In her free time, she enjoys engaging in arts and crafts as well as cooking, playing soccer leisurely, and running. After graduation, she hopes to attend Penn State and earn a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Bridgeview Academy
Ashanty Romero Gomez, a junior at Bridgeview Academy, will serve as an Alternative to the Education/ Finance Committee-of-the-Whole Representative, as well as the ASD Foundation Board Representative. A member of the school’s volleyball team, Gomez is actively involved in her school community by tutoring students, assisting teachers, and helping explain assignments. Outside of school, she volunteers by distributing food to the unhoused and donating her clothes to those in need. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, cooking, baking, and writing. After graduation, she plans to attend Lehigh Carbon Community College to study nursing. Her goal is to become a caretaker for both children and the elderly.
Yismeiri Munnoz Gutierrez, a senior at Bridgeview Academy, will serve as Representative of the Regular School Board of Directors. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking and plans to attend a four-year college to major in business.
Jayden Santos, a senior at Bridgeview Academy, will serve as the ASD Foundation Board Representative. A member of the Student Advisory Council and a volunteer at Young Life, a non-profit Christian ministry, where he volunteers at various places to raise money. After graduation, he plans to attend a four-year college.
