The Office of Grant Development and Institutional Advancement leads the Allentown School District’s efforts to secure vital funding, cultivate strategic partnerships, and advance our mission and strategic priorities. We enhance educational opportunities by overseeing effective grant development, fostering lasting donor relations, and building impactful institutional collaborations. Our goal is to create a thriving environment where every student has the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

Advancing Excellence and Innovation in the Allentown School District

Welcome to the Office of Grant Development and Institutional Advancement for the Allentown School District! Our work is comprehensive, focusing on resource development and community engagement to support the District’s Strategic Plan, Lighting the Way: A Blueprint for Innovation and Excellence 2030.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Development: Researching and identifying funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources while designing strong, competitive proposals.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivating relationships with businesses and non-profits for sponsorships, donations, and initiatives like the Adopt-a-School program.
  • Strategic Business Advisory Council (SBAC): Facilitating engagement between District leadership and business partners to align educational outcomes with workforce needs.
  • Culture of Philanthropy: Partnering with the ASD Foundation to manage donor cultivation, alumni outreach, and scholarship administration.
  • Community Engagement: Spearheading local initiatives and representing the District at community events and partner outreach opportunities.
  • Essential Resources: Coordinating targeted supply drives and supporting educators through the DonorsChoose crowdfunding platform.
  • Grant Management: Ensuring post-award compliance, impactful reporting, and stewardship for all secured funds.

Information for Organizational Partners

We welcome collaborations with organizations dedicated to enhancing student learning and well-being through programs aligned with our strategic priorities.

How to Collaborate:

  • Annual Partnership Review: Submit the Partner Organization Request Form annually to establish or renew your status as an official partner.
  • Letters of Support: Request official District support for EITC applications or other funding opportunities by emailing a project description and draft letter to Lindsey Parks
  • Sample Letter of Support: Letter of Support Template
  • Timely Processing: Please submit all partnership or support requests at least three (3) weeks before your deadline for proper review

Resources and reporting tools for Allentown School District staff members regarding external funding and contributions.

Staff Resourses:

  • Report Grants and Donations: All contributions should be reported (with supporting documentation) within 1 week of receipt or award.

  • Funding Assistance: For assistance in researching or applying for funding, please submit a request.
