Data and Performance Management

The Data and Performance Management department within the Office of Schools emerged through a partnership with the Strategic Data Project, a program of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. Steered by our Strategic Data Fellow, our team works to ensure that ASD fulfills the promises of our district's new strategic plan, "Lighting the Way: A Blueprint for Innovation and Excellence 2030," using clear evidence and sophisticated data systems. We use data-driven decision-making to identify student needs, evaluate our programs, and implement effective strategies that empower all learners to achieve their full potential.

Our Strategic Focus Includes

  • Monitoring Progress: Developing robust data infrastructures to track the district’s 2030 strategic plan goals.
  • Promoting Opportunity: Identifying and dismantling systemic obstacles by disaggregating data by race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status.
  • Driving Excellence: Monitoring academic outcomes, attendance, and discipline to ensure continuous school improvement.
  • Empowering Educators: Providing training and tools to help school leaders move from intuition-based to evidence-based decisions.
  • Real-Time Insights: Creating user-friendly dashboards that provide immediate feedback for classroom and district-level policy.
  • Identifying Bright Spots: Finding and scaling successful practices from high-performing classrooms and schools across the district.
